-- Just booked a stay here on Hotwire.Com.
Since there isn't a bad hotel in the Dulles/Chantilly/Reston area and I'm
just looking for a room I didn't mind not knowing the name of the hotel
before I commit myself. I chose the Dulles/Chantilly and Reston areas of
a Washington, D.C. search. Since these areas are relatively small and I
know all the hotels in the area are fine, there are no roach motels in
the area, I knew I would get a good deal. Hotwire's hotel partners are
good quality brand names anyway so I would not get booked into a low quality
hotel. As a matter of fact, based on the area searched and amenities listed
for the hotel I correctly guessed the exact hotel they would book for me.
I could have booked my hotel room
directly at about $62. On Travelocity.com at $49.95. But I got it for
$34. Now I am locked into this with no changes at all. Since I booked
on the day of arrival that's like a 24 hour cancellation policy. In addition
to the room charge and tax they charge an extra fee of about $6.00 (included
in the comparison above so as to compare apples to apples). This is a fee
for the service. That's all right. I'll spend $6.00 to save $15.95. Where
did I stay at for $34.00 Sunday-Monday? Right Here! |
