| While the cleanliness of my room for this
stay at the Homestead Studio Suites - Reston was great. I had a problem with
a room when I checked in on February
14, 2004. There were major housekeeping problems for the first room
during my 2004 visit. During this 2002 stay my only
problem was during check in. I was told by the front desk staff that the
could not locate my confirmed Hotwire.com reservation. Apparently when you
book through hotwire the hotel gets a fax or some notification that your
room is reserved. The local hotel then needs to assign a room to the guest
in the local hotels computer. As I said, the hotel could not find my
reservation. The guy at the desk said its fortunate that another guest who
booked two rooms is staying with his wife and subsequently would only need
one room. Say what? After checking me into the only remaining room, they
found my reservation sitting in the fax machine or under a pile of papers.
When this was mentioned at check out the manager said he
was sorry and explained the error to me. |
