He is at what appears to be one of the best value hotels in the Dulles area. (Correct when written.)

The Fairfield Inn in Chantilly, VA. This hotel is costing me $64.00 at the weekend rate. I checked in about one hour ago. The have full, fifty channel cable television. The have free continental breakfast. They have free local calls.

This hotel is right under the flight path for IAD runway 1Right. 1Left is a few "feet" to the north. You can hear and see the planes right from the room. Had my 3rd floor window open during the entire night. Not sure what effect is, if any, with window closed (Had no effect whatsoever). (Perhaps this is why the have full cable and a good rate. It's not!. You don't notice planes when windows are closed. The low rate is competitive. Although all weekend rates seem to be in the high $60 to mid $80 for these types of hotels)

Felt like I was in an orphanage with a ton of kids running around. They appear to have arrived on a chartered bus. Standing by the elevator off the lobby three kids were playing ball around me. Like I wasn't even there.

Many were in the pool about one hour or so ago. They are good kids and cause me no worry. Can't hear a peep up in my room. Can only hear the members of the Pratt & Whitney family about every 5 minutes (Window is open).

7:00 am - Hotel was out of milk and orange juice since the start of breakfast at 7 am. (Boy did drop my satisfaction like a stone.) Front desk was on the phone to correct the problem.

8:08 am - Milk and Orange juice have arrived. Two gallons each. Man who brought them apologized for being out of it. (Since they corrected problem quickly and I had my two cups of milk - effect on stay - net of effect of being out of product - plus 5%. Yes, these events actually increased my overall satisfaction. Go figure.) The fact they correct the problem can increase overall satisfaction than if the problem did not happen at all. At least this time.

Pizza Hut, May 5, 2001. Called the Pizza Hut across the street and the guy didn't even know this hotel was open. He told me I wanted the Pizza Hut in Fairfax. His co-worker told him this hotel was open. I picked up pizza.
