2001 thoughts. No Longer applies in 2005 as Herndon is now 8 cents less (2005) instead of 20 cents more (2001). Go Figure!

If I had to choose between the price on the left in Herndon, VA or the price on the right in Maryland on I 95, which would I choose?

I do have to choose and I chose the gas stations in Maryland on I-95 at the rest stations north or south of the I-95 toll plaza. I get gas here to and from Herndon to avoid the high price in Virginia and higher price in Pennsylvania. For me the rest stop on I-95 in Maryland is about half-way. At these stations they have a pump or two that are marked as full-service. The price is about 15¢ or more per gallon. Its funny to see people pull up when there are plenty of free pumps, get out and start pumping their own gas. In some cases they are almost finished before the gas jockey shows up. They pay a couple bucks more using the wrong. pump.
