- I arrived at my destination in Virginia at about
11:50 and made the necessary deliveries to the warehouse. Sam (not his
or her real name) was nice enough to let me have one of his ladies for
about 10 minutes. After I finished the rest of the day was mine.
- I had the special lunch at the Chutzpah Deli. This
deli located in the Fairfax Towne Center serves the best deli
sandwiches I have ever had. Today I had the Bucko 46, Cole-slaw, a
coke, and a pickle. The coke and The Washington Times were purchased
at the neighboring supermarket. I ate the sandwich in the parking lot
while reading the paper. My car was parked parallel to West Ox Road
facing Monument Road. To my left was diagonally was the intersection
of West Ox and Monument Road.

- After finishing my lunch I toured the Fair Lakes
Shopping Center area taking notes for my future web pages. I also did
some shopping at Best Buy and Comp USA. Not finding my item at Comp
USA the employee referred me to 'The Computer Place' on Jermantown
Road in Fairfax. I got the exact item, a 2.5 to 3.5 IDE Notebook
mounting kit, at that place.
- I drove to the 7-11 at Metrotech and Centerville Road
for a Big Gulp
- I watch some big jets on final approach to IAD on 1R.
I was parked on the Fairfield Inn driveway between the TownePlace
Suites and Bob Evans.

- Drove to IAD and saw that "parking garage"
cop directing traffic in the departure area by Delta. (This is
the same M.W.A.A. cop who questioned me on a previous trip after an
off-duty F.B.I. agent pointed me out. Once I answered his questions
truthfully and presented my i.d. he let me go on my way. Sucker!)
- Wrote and mailed a postcard from the AMF mailbox.
- Parked in the Gold Lot and took the shuttle to the
intenational arrivals.
- Read a magazine at the seating area across from the
old Sabena counters.

|
- Saw the movie XXX (Triple X) at the Phoenix
Worldgate. It was the 7:35 showing in theatre 4. I sat in Row 4 Seat
4. As you go into the theatre stay to the right. The center group of
seats, 8 across, count down four rows and then right to left to the
fourth seat. Had a large popcorn and medium Pepsi. Butter was
"layered" and did not take the large soda for a 25¢ more.
|
|
- Lest I forget. On my departure from Herndon I paid
the full tolls, 75¢, from Centerville Road to I-495. It was probably
the second time in 30 some visits over eight years that I did not
depart the area by going to the airport and making a u-turn. Factoring
in the cost of gas for a 12 mile detour I have only been saving about
5¢. ($1.40 a gallon with a 20 m.p.g. car.) One ticket and I would
have been way behind.
