I am stuck - I can't bring myself to fire up the Xbox and
watch the last 2 episodes of this season. |

I haven't watched an episode in about 3
weeks and sadly not that interested. |

How long has it been since Kucha Kimmie,

their adventure in The Australian Outback?

Spoiler Alert!
It is over 10 years since this
happened.
Having said that why do the producers of the DVDs spoil it for new viewers
by putting the pictures of the 4 to be voted off first on the jewel case for
the first four episodes?
Same
thing on the second DVD jewel case! By that time I'm not even looking at the
front until I'm done with it. |

Love this season. After 5-6 seasons of a
predictable, loveable punk producer Jeff Probst nice to watch show and NOT know
what Jeff is going to say next. He even admits he is "green"
during the audio commentary.
"Come on In Guys", "I'll go tally the
votes", "If anyone has the hidden...
"Wanna know what you're playing for?" "got nothing for you"
it is nice to see Jeff getting his sea
legs here and in youtube video from Survivor Borneo.

Filming dates
October 26, 2000 to December 6, 2000
(Maybe maybe not)
October 23,
2000 –
December 3, 2000 (wikipedia)
Good point - October 23rd is a Monday - They seem to start shows on Monday
(please see Survivor Redemption Island call sheets).
Trying to figure out witch filming dates are
correct -
During the audio commentary of episode 211,
"Let's Make a Deal" ,Tina says on Day 29, It is Thanksgiving. The
producers showed Turkeys during the original broadcast. Day 29, if the 4th
Thursday of November, the 23rd. That makes day 1 - October 26 and Day 42 -
December 6.
Dates in U.S. October 22 to December 2,
2000
Original run January 28, 2001 – May

December 21, 2010 |
December 21, 2010 - - Watched above episodes via Netflix
in 2005. Today, 12/21/2010 I am going
to start watching whole season to catch up.
Bought the DVD, May 12, 2008 - Unopened
with 'All-star' season until Tuesday 12/21/2010 when I started the viewing
again. |

Finally watching the DVDs on December 21, 2010
- 529pm.
Kucha tribe above - Now, December 25, 2010
Nick, Rodger, Allicia and Elisabeth remain on
new merged tribe. Jeff voted out in silly tie break rule, past votes.

Missing you Kel, Maralyn and Mitchell from
Ogakor tribe
Tina, Colby, Amber, him (forgot guys
name), and Jeri remain as of December 26, 2010 1101am.
Time to head to Planet Fitness and
work off Christmas. I'll pretend
it is a Survivor Reward Challenge
Whole Grain rice and Edamame as reward. Whom do
I take on the reward with me....if I win?
12/27/2010 - Jeri just voted out - Huge! Same
surprise as if I watched it live. Great suspense or should I say twist.

R&M Blannerhassett Mount Garnet QLD 4872
"A crew of 250 lived on the
privately owned Goshen Station for three months. There were producers,
camera operators, caterers, carpenters, a masseuse and a barber, all living
in this small town they virtually built in the middle of nowhere. The
contestants had two camera crews with them around the clock, using infra-red
film at night.
Goshen Station is a 28,500ha cattle station and has been owned by the
Blenner family for four years. Some big changes were made for Survivor
— a loop road was build around Goshen and a "Tribal Council" set was built
at the top of Herbert River Falls about 400m from the contestants' camp. The
base camp had tented accommodation plus a huge bar and recreation area. All
that's left now is the road, the bar and the campsite at Kucha, with no
evidence of any of the other additions. "

Listening to commentary from Episode 1 with
Jeff Probst and Colby Donaldson at Margarita Mix
Wow! That is Elisabeth Filarski Hasselback
- Wow! Did not know.
Audio commentary recorded for Australian
Outback DVD during the airing of the season of Vanuatu (September 16 to
December 12, 2004)
Jeff likes that some contestants, like
Kentucky Joe don't feel the need to connect with him. Not that he dosen't
like Joe. Just that when it is over its over.
Jeff loves memory of seeing show first time
since aired 3 1/2 years earlier.
Jerri has and issue with Jeff over
All-stars.
Jeff's look is an issue with him. "patheticness" |

Survivor 2 The Australian Outback, Survivor
Australia Maps
First episode maps noted "your day long trek",
plus Kel mentioned they had to travel north.
This is about 5 miles from Ogakor camp (5.84
miles using crude measuring path). "grueling five mile hike to their respective
camps", wikipedia.
Goshen Station and Glen Eagle Station are
given credit during show. Glen Eagle located via flood maps
for Herbert River.
Goshen Station,
Kirrama QLD 4872
located via exploreoz.com

Estimate - and a darn good one of the location
of Ogakor and Kucha camps. Google earth, based on maps given to tribes on day one

Facing a north-east direction from the area where the plane
most likely landed.

The location, I am almost certain of the Butch
Casidy jump on Survivor Australian Outback. Way to go Rodger, October 26, 2000.
The close up matches aerial images from episode
202 - tidal pool at top with bush/rock, candy bar rock bottom across water.

Below is the location of the Kucha camp,
Barramundi camp (post merge) and Ogakor camp.
Based on other peoples work and the
"merger map from the DVD.
