United Artist Oxford Valley -- June 13, 2005 12:28
a.m.
after I saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith in auditorium 7. |
-
The United Artist Oxford Valley Theatre Stadium 14
is a fourteen screen multiplex movie theatre located in Middletown
Township, Bucks County. It is located on the property of the Oxford
Valley Mall across from Sears.
Each of the fourteen screens has stadium seating.
The concession stand offers full movie theatre fare for your
snacking pleasure. The men's rooms are kept very clean at all times.
The lady's rooms are also kept .... never mind. I'm sure their kept
just as clean as the men's room. In this building there are three
restrooms for each sex. One of each are located within a short walk
from all auditoriums.

|
The United Artist Oxford
Valley Stadium 14 is now part of the Regal Entertainment Group,
which operates 5,711 screens in 530 locations in 36 states. This
merger now gives us two main theatre chains in the area AMC and
Regal Entertainment Group.
When seeing movies at this theatre you may want to
use their Regal Club Card. This card allows you to accumulate points
per dollar spent. Every 40 points you receive either a free popcorn,
soda and movie ticket.

June 19, 2005 -
During the past week the theatre started using a
different cup for beverages. The cup is manufactured by Solo. The
small is shorter in size but larger in girth with a capacity of 32
ounces. (Child size 16 ounce, small 32, medium 44, and large a
gigantic plastic cup). This cup was observed discontinued a few
weeks later.
November 19, 2004
- The construction is completed and the 4 new
auditoriums are open. I saw National Treasure in the new Auditorium
and other then the seat being very stiff I enjoyed the movie
experience. The seat has the ability to recline but it is almost
impossible to do it. One of the managers says the seat will get
better after more use by customers. My experience when I saw Lemony
Snicket's was much better as the chair had much more play in
it.
The new box office is open in the
front. There are two line barriers set up side by side that feed to
the front windows. This creates two lines in front of the box
office. I would like to see one long line so the first in gets the
first ticket. (1-3-2005 They are lining
people up in only one line now. This is great.)
The new men's room is fine.
 |
|

|
December 2003 - One of the
managers, who was recently working the concession stand one evening,
said the theatre is planning for an additional two screens. That
would be a great addition, in my opinion, for both the theatre and
the mall. The only problem is that some of the department stores at
the nearby mall are, according to the manager, reluctant to give up
some parking spaces for this expansion. Too bad! An expansion would
most certainly get some customers who have gone to the multiplex at
the next closest mall. This has to increase traffic to the mall and
nearby restaurants. (By the way. If I wasn't enjoying my very
insightful talk with this manager on many movie related issues, I
would have pointed out that he/she didn't offer me the M&M®
combo when I purchased my snack and asked him/her for my free
ticket.) |

This visit I noticed the points were

counter and gave me a third card and added all points to my newest card. |

I really like that Mystique. What I wouldn't give for only one

human? Does she have a ....a....one of those? |
Very good movie!
Hated it when that man moved bridge in broad
daylight and the next minute it's the middle of the night. That
happened in the TV show 'The Unit' and it pissed me off there too. |

This area of the United Artist Oxford Valley Stadium 10 parking
lot, seen here April 20, 2003, is no more. The addition is being
built over the parking lot starting at the side wall in the
foreground. This parking lot is closed off. A fence has been placed
around this section of the lot. You can still park on the other side
of the stop sign. |

3-19-2007 3:20 This visit I noticed
the points were not
transferred to the new Regal Rewards Card I got on my visit
of March 6,2007. Plus the name on the new card was not my name. Well
done! The ticket usher on my 3/6/2007 visit offered me this new card
and indicated he would have all points transferred to my new card.
 |
Spoke with an assistant manager who sat at the
computer at the customer service counter and gave me a third card and
presumably added all points to my newest card. |
|
5-28-2005 6:40
My Regal Card is getting worn and I should have
replaced it a while ago. Nonetheless the box office man, a nice boy,
entered in the wrong number manually and I did not get rewards points.
This is really no big deal. Mentioned for
information only. |
I will notify the online rewards help desk
and am confident I will get credit. |
|
11-3-2005 7:35 showing of The Weatherman
The front speaker by the screen. The only one used
today had an awful, distracting vibration during the music,
soundtrack. This music had a heavy bass and was like a stereo
speaker that vibrates when the bass is turned up high. In addition
some dialogue was very distorted throughout entire movie.
It ruined my experience. |
Told the Christina Ricci,
Adams' Family Values, assistant manager who was very sincere,
understanding and wonderful. She gave me a free movie pass and this
settled the problem.
Surprisingly bad experience at this
Excellent theatre. |
|
10-2-2005 4:10 showing of Serenity
Very quiet throughout entire movie. All
patrons polite and well behaved. Everything fine until the ushers
came in to clean up during credits. They stayed at the end of the
entrance row near the first set of lower seats. They do that when I
remain in theatre. Thank You. But
they conversed, talked loudly, with each other as I was trying to
listen to the music during the closing credits. Their
conversation continued throughout the remainder of the credits.
 |
Also a problem with a cut or
other imperfection in movie where the scene gets cut partially as
there maybe a bad splice in film. Ruins that scene as dialogue is
missed and distracting. |
|
6-29-2004 9:40 showing of Stepford Wives
Walked
up to the Concession stand with about 7 employees behind the
counter. One customer at one station. Do you think anyone else would
say, "May I help You?"' Of course not. You have to walk up to the
person who is near a register to get them to wait on you. Two
thumbs (parked) up, Way Up! (With apologies to Roger
Ebert). |
They still provide better
customer service then I do in my job. They
also provide great service here overall. Its just
different when I'm on this side of the counter. |
|
6-8-2004 7:30 showing of Harry Potter.
Purchased ticket and gave my Regal Entertainment Card.
Tuesday is free popcorn night so a coupon will print out for free
popcorn. Noticed 3 "things" printed out and clerk ripped one and
kept it. Walked away and noticed I had a ticket and one coupon for a
free small popcorn. Right? Wrong. Went back and asked attendant what
he ripped off. He said that he hit button to print coupon twice by
mistake. |
He then said
that machine has been spitting out two coupons by mistake all day. I
explained that it is not a mistake. One coupon for 'Free Popcorn
Tuesday'; second for achieving a certain point level. This is
verified by point chart and expiration dates. One expired today and
the second expired 8/7/2004. He said its no big deal. I said it
is a big deal when the coupon is worth $4.50. I got both coupons
as I should have. (I Did not notify management of
problem.) |
|
5-3-2004 - 10:10 showing of ENVY
Concession attendant unable to accept Regal card to
give me credit for concession purchase. He swiped card and nothing
happened. We are well past the April 26 start date for earning
points on purchases. Despite this; a pleasure
to come to this fine establishment. |
I doubt the box
office is still printing awards on the old schedule. Not sure if
this has anything to do with not paying for ticket, used a free
pass. Card worked fine at the Regal Warrington concession stand on
Saturday's "Mean Girl" visit (I also got two awards on my ticket
purchase. The reason for this on a Saturday is not known. (I Did
not notify management of problem.) |
|
4-11-2004 - 2:15
showing of The Prince & Me Movie wasn't framed
properly. Too low. The bottom, where some titles go, was cut off.
Occasional microphone visible. Having seen a few movies over the
years I could tell that each and every frame was off. What a
distraction. Told usher of this problem with previews in hopes of
correcting before show. |
He said it
should correct itself when it switches to film. If not notify us.
Bad service because it didn't correct and I'm not leaving movie for
this cause I don't want to miss a second of movie. Told another
usher who came in to check the exit doors. No change.
Surprisingly bad experience at this
Excellent theatre. (I Did
not notify management of problem.) |
