May I suggest trying
Cheeseburger In Paradise?
Located around the Oxford Valley Mall behind Circuit City and across from
....what's that place called?....Oh yea! Charlie Browns. |
June 3, 2007 - Diving by today I
noticed the restaurant was closed. Sadly closed. Sure. I mean, for the
employees and the lack of selection around here.
What a massacre! Darden Restaurants closed 56 Smoke Bones and offered
another 73 for sale as part of a restructuring. Plus. What's that say about
the popularity? I mean they don't plan on closing the Olive Garden do they?
No. Apparently core guest don't eat there as frequently, per pr newswire.
I ate here once. Ribs were no big deal. Nice to see
they didn't go out of business at this location only. Ouch! I mean for lack
of a customer base. |
| We're enjoying smoking bones in Langhorne, PA as a Smokey Bones Barbeque &
Grill is under construction on the location of the now closed and demolished
Houlihan's. I noticed the sign on the
building today, 10/24/2005. I am looking forward to visiting there. I've
never been to one but I am familiar with the name. I've seen their name for
years on the Darden Restaurant gift cards. You know Darden Restaurants:
Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze. If they do at Smokey Bones what
they do at Olive Garden.........G.D. It!, I'm hungry for a thick succulent
bone right now. Rib bone that is.

Looks
good from what I see on their web site. I'll be there as soon as they open.
Smokey Bones is known for
friendly, caring and engaging people who are passionate about genuine
barbeque and other American foods. The restaurant's 11-hour slow-smoking
process creates moist, succulent meats that are incredibly flavorful and
tender.
Smokey Bones' menu includes platters of full- and half-racks of baby back
and St. Louis-style ribs, hand-pulled pork, brisket, choice steaks, grilled
chicken, fish, buffalo burgers, salads and veggie burgers. Some side
offerings include Brunswick Stew, barbecue baked beans and coleslaw. Guests
should also plan to save room for one of the restaurant's signature desserts
– a bag of freshly-baked hot cinnamon-sugar doughnuts.
This delicious food is served within a rustic mountain lodge, which offers
guests great sports viewing while enjoying their barbeque. All of our
restaurants show nearly all professional and college sports and other
televised entertainment on 30 televisions and plasma screens throughout the
building. Individual tabletop sound controls enable guests to choose between
watching and listening to a variety of television channels. |
