"Take a shot" refers to the dart board the have in the lobby. You can throw a dart on check-in and attempt to get 50% off one nights board. You had nothing to lose by trying. I don't believe they offer it anymore.

| Don't be fooled by the name. While the " Budget
Traveler" is great for the traveler on a budget it is also great for
every other traveler. I stay here every time I visit
northern Maine, Presque Isle.
The Budget Traveler in Presque Isle, Maine is truly the best deal in Presque Isle. While there are only about four properties to sleep in in the Presque Isle area this one offers you a great price, free breakfast, and very nice rooms. Great location right next to snowmobile trail system. A snowmobile trail ends right at the parking lot. The price was right. About $36.95 a night. This included a full breakfast in the a.m. They have a small kitchen off of the lobby. Just like a kitchen at home. While they don't have a stove or oven they do have juices, cereal, bagels, bread, doughnuts, milk, peanut butter, cream cheese. Walk into the kitchen and grab yourself some breakfast. This can easily save you a few bucks. Although if you want to eat out and get eggs and hash browns you can grab some coffee here first. This is very convenient if you are going to eat breakfast and hit the snowmobile trails as early as possible. |

The rooms were great. Nice and big. Very clean. Full cable TV. Comfortable queen size bed. Very quiet rooms. |

| There are a number of kitchen suites that have a small refrigerator, microwave, cupboards, bar with stools, and sink. These rooms are great because they are twice as large as a regular room. They also have a sofa and coffee table. The television is on a base that can turn to either the bedroom or living room. |
