| I had the pleasure of staying at the TownePlace Suites by
Marriott in Scarborough, Maine for 3 nights this past January, 2004. What a
great property. I chose the property for its great weekend rate of $59.00,
full suite amenities, full kitchen and location. |

My room at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Scarborough,
Maine was a studio suite, room 333. This room has a queen sized bed, color
TV with full cable and HBO, comfortable sofa and coffee table. Table/Desk
with convenient internet and power access. |
| The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and freezer. Oven.
Microwave. Stove. Dishwasher. Coffee Maker. The also have full set of pots,
pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cooking utensils and eating utensils
(except a table spoon or soup spoon). |

The only thing missing is a bureau or armoire to store
clothes for an extended stay. A larger TV stand could offer the appropriate
drawers for this purpose. The top shelf of the closet will due, but if I was
there for any length of time I would like to have convenient access to my
clothes. The top shelf of the closet is slightly out of the way. |
| My dealings with the front desk crew was nothing but
excellent. From the first night when I reserved the room after inquiring
about the Television selection (We have all the channels offered by the
local Time Warner Cable). To my extending my stay one more night and then
checking out with the assistance of Chester. |

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Scarborough, Maine is
conveniently located off of interstate I-95 between exits 6 and 6A (These
exit numbers will soon be changed to reflect the milepost on I-95 closest to
them).
It is right down the road and minutes from the Maine Mall, restaurants
and movies in South Portland. A convenience store and supermarket are across
the street. A very short walk and seconds in your car. |
